Exhibitions & Events

The Festival is a place to meet and be inspired by creative ideas, initiatives and collaborations. We have curated a few exhibitions, installations and screenings around the topic of tech and creativity, the ADCE Awards Winners Announcement, and the Festival Closing PARTY!

9 - 12 November | 10:00 - 20:00 h | Disseny Hub Barcelona

Illutration - Portraits - Society

In this selfie and avatars era, where self-perception and identity often come across as self-indulgence and overconfidence, SELF. looks to inspire and provoke a conversation on how artists define themselves in this current contemporary social media ruled context. SELF. proposes an approach to this conceptual framework using illustration as a basic tool.

We asked 20 artists from different nationalities and realities to draw a self-portrait that show us how they see themselves throughout their creative skills. We also asked them questions about identity to complete the collective profile and get a deeper and more personal estimation on the topic.

Curated by Angelo Palma & Max Porta.

Featured artists: Inkee Wang (Guangzhou), David Méndez Alonso (Pontevedra), Rami Niemi (Finland), Moshtari Hilal (Kabul), Celia Jacobs (L.A.), Wasted Rita (Lisboa), Ricardo Fumanal (Barcelona), Rita Wainer (Sao Paolo), Flavia Paravisi (Buenos Aires), Yulia Nefedova (Moscow), Ricardo Edwards (Kingstone), Lope Serrano (Barcelona), Isobel Metha (London), Serge Seidlitz (Nairobi), Marie Tooth (Barcelona), Berto Fojo (Pontevedra), Cristóbal Fortunez (Santiago de Compostela), Carla Fuentes (Valencia), Patrick Tresset (London), Oh Caroool (Barcelona).
